This is quite a shock! I can vaguely remember walking through Sears with my mom and sisters many years ago, peeking through the glass cases at the various shapes and colors of makeup. I was but a child then so hearing this is a bit..shocking.
No offense to Sears but unless they are selling MAC or Chanel, I do not see the point.

What a negative comment, Chessie!
I shop at the Beauty 360 in Greenbrae and the staff is wonderful.
In comparison with a Sephora, many of the staff are licensed estheticians and cosmetologists. So you can get expert advice on skin and makeup.
Also, you can use your CVS Extra care card to shop @ Beauty 360. They also have a great return policy–up to 60 days.
So, I don’t know why you are telling people not to shop there.
